Marriott launches Courtyard Brand in Phuket – Business Traveler
Marriott has brought its Courtyard by Marriott brand to the tropical island of Phuket in Thailand.
The 248-room Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town is located in the old town, a 40-minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Local attractions include the Sunday Walking Street Market and Chillva Market, museums and temples, and Patong Beach and Kata Beach, less than 30 minutes away.
The modern design is reminiscent of traditional Thai handicrafts and the room facilities include a flat-screen TV, a comfortable desk and high-speed WiFi.
The all-day dining restaurant, Krua Talad Yai, offers southern Thai cuisine and international dishes, while the Talung Lounge serves coffee and cake, and the Kolae Pool Bar serves cocktails and light snacks.
Recreational facilities include a kids’ club, fitness center and outdoor pool. The hotel also offers a 660 m² ballroom and several flexible function rooms for meetings and events.
Jakob Helgen, Area Vice President of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, Marriott International, said:
“The opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town marks the 46thNS Real estate in Thailand and further complements our commitment to growth in the region by bringing a diversified portfolio for different types of travelers to this popular vacation destination. “
