On TJ Reid and Niamh De Brún’s honeymoon, when a couple stop at a posh Phuket hotel while showing off their ‘rusty tan’

KILKENNY hurling star TJ Reid and his wife Niamh De Brún are continuing their idyllic honeymoon after flying to Thailand.

After first soaking up the sun and luxuries of Dubai, this is their final stop on what appears to be a dreamlike journey.

The couple did in fact wed in November but postponed their honeymoon until Ballyhale reached the All-Ireland Club final.

But since they were heading to the Middle East just as a bunch of named storms were lining up to strike Ireland, the timing of their escape couldn’t have been better.

Limerick native Niamh works as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at pharmaceutical company AbbVie and makes a living from her social media posts – she has over 20,000 more followers than her iconic Cats spouse.

WEDDING DELAYS

They had been engaged since 2019 but had to postpone their big day multiple times due to the pandemic.

But when they finally got to tie the knot, they did so in style at a beautiful ceremony at Holy Trinity Abbey Church in Adare, Limerick.

Both were well dressed for the occasion, Reid in an elegant tuxedo and De Brún in an elegant dress.

As is tradition when GAA players get married, they received an honor guard from some of his teammates as they hurled in front of the church.

From there, the overjoyed newlyweds traveled just up the road to the Adare Manor Hotel for a suitably lavish reception.

It’s been a long road since they first met in 2014 in Cork, the same place Reid would eventually propose.
