Satree School charity run to support local schools

RUN: A charity run organized by Satree Phuket School is scheduled to take place in October to raise money for local schools in Phuket.

The “Run with Hearts Together for 113 Years Phuket Women SPK RUN 2022” will take place on Sunday October 9th. Students, parents, teachers, alumni and the general public of Satree Phuket School are all welcome to attend.

There will be a 3.5km and a 6.5km fun run, as well as a 10.2km mini-marathon, organizers confirmed at a news conference on Tuesday (9 August).

Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew chaired the press conference, which was also joined by Panya Hatthi, Vice President of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) and Somchai Kongkunakorn, Director of Satree Women’s School and President of Phuket Women’s Alumni Association.

Proceeds from the runs will be used to support educational institutions at the Satree School and three other schools in the Phuket Primary Educational Service Area Office, not named at press time. The entry fee for the two Funs Runs is B350 and for the Mini-Marathon is B450. There is also a VIP category which costs 2,000 baht and gives access to all three races.

In addition, the run strives to promote healthy lifestyles among all participants and all Phuket residents more broadly.

Those who participate in the runs can choose to walk along the way and enjoy some of the scenery such as B. the Sino-Portuguese architecture of the Standard Chartered Bank Building and the Clock Tower in Phuket Town and the Saphan Hin Public Park. The exact locations of the runs were not revealed at the press conference but will be announced in due course, organizers said.
