Teenage mum Kailyn Lowry holds back tears as she reveals her trip to Thailand for her 30th birthday was CANCELED at the last minute
TEEN mom Kailyn Lowry fought back tears as she revealed her big birthday trip to Thailand was canceled days before she left.
The reality star was due to start her vacation this week before her plans were abruptly halted.
Kailyn explained the last-minute cancellation on her Instagram Stories, saying the country’s new travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic were the cause.
The Teen Mom 2 star opened up about her disappointment as the extended getaway was to celebrate her upcoming 30th birthday.
Seriously, she said in the clip, “I’ll be 30 in two weeks and I can’t go to Thailand right now.”
Kailyn returned to the platform to share her feelings about the situation and its impact on travel expenses.
“Actually, I’m so sad that I’m not going to travel tomorrow – actually I should be leaving tomorrow,” the mother of four began.
“I was supposed to be gone for the whole of March.”
She went on to talk about the “strange” loan she would receive for the flight and its financial implications.
“The most expensive thing about going to Thailand was the flight because when you get there it’s pretty cheap.

“So there’s a lot of money there with the flight credit, but if I book another flight that’s only like $200, I lose about four grand,” she concluded.
The MTV star also detailed another unexpected setback in her stories, revealing that the construction of her pool has also been delayed until the following year.
“I’m making final decisions for the pool but unfortunately it’s not going to happen this year,” she said.
Kailyn had previously unleashed her frustration with the process, explaining that the company responsible for the installation postponed construction until May or June 2023.
In a recent episode of her Coffee Convos podcast, Kailyn admitted she was in tears over the matter after experiencing numerous difficulties building her new home.
She admitted: “I’m very overwhelmed. There was a lot that hit me all at once.”
The young mother noted that the problem was a “first world problem” but was still shocked to see her plans suddenly changed.
“I work really hard for my money and the things I have, so I was a little depressed.
“So now I have to explain to the kids that they won’t be swimming at my house this year.”
Kailyn, 29, finally moved into her newly constructed Delaware mansion last month and was excited to share the experience with her four sons.
She even surprised each of her sons with “Welcome Home” signs along the front yard to commemorate the occasion.
The TV star shared photos of the moment on Instagram as she held her two youngest sons – Lux, four, and Creed, one – in her arms.
Their two oldest boys, Isaac, 12, and Lincoln, eight, posed between the large signs that read, “Welcome home Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, Mello.”
The day was long-awaited as Kailyn previously admitted she wasn’t thrilled to move into the new spaces after a series of setbacks.
“I’m so far over my budget — over my loan amount. My expenses at this point are…I’m afraid,” she said at the time.
The star went on to talk about design and build delays, issues with supplying materials and the “weird little things” that dampened her excitement.
Although Kailyn has finally settled in, she is already considering another move in the near future.
After a fan asked her in an Instagram Q&A if the family of five would settle into their Delaware home, she replied, “2-5 years.”
