The 36th annual Art in the Park takes place from September 3rd to 5th
August 5 – The 36th annual Art in the Park takes place every three days of Labor Day weekend in Marietta Square.
Cobb County’s only arts festival, the family-friendly outdoor event regularly welcomes more than 45,000 visitors and features more than 150 artist booths, live music, children’s activities, the Chalk Spot and plenty of food from nearby restaurants. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will benefit the Marietta Business Association.
In the artist market, artists work in mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, ceramics, woodworking, glass, photography, textiles and jewelry made of precious metals and gemstones. All artworks are handmade and the artists are invited by an independent jury of art professionals. At the artist
Not only can visitors browse and buy art at the stalls, they also have the opportunity to talk to the artists, some of whom will be offering demonstrations during the exhibition

Chalk Spot is an interactive street art exhibit for children benefiting Marietta High School’s Visual Arts Club. This festival feature gives children
a chance to design a one-of-a-kind masterpiece in an area 3ft square on the closed road. Chalk Spot only takes place on September 3, but the art
remains on display throughout the weekend, weather permitting. All participants will receive a box of sidewalk chalk. Supplies will be limited and places are limited
available on a first come, first served basis. For the kids, Art in the Park includes Children’s Art Alley, a free, interactive “make and take” area on Atlanta Street on the south side of the park.
The pavilion welcomes local singer/songwriters throughout the three-day weekend. All live music performances at Art in the Park are free. Bench seating is available, or participants can bring a blanket or chairs.
The opening hours are from 3 to 5 September from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Chalk Spot is on September 3rd from 10am to 3pm. Registration for Chalk Spot costs $10. Pre-registration is not required, but the offer is limited.
The Marietta City Hall Parking Deck at 205 Lawrence Street has free weekend parking, and free street parking is available around Marietta Square. Additional metered parking is available on the decks at Waddell and Lawrence streets.
